Well Sharon I teach driving and moved here from St. Catharines with 2 cats in the van 4 10 hours lol. It actually was an OK trip without too many problems.I used to work for the Casino Associates and that is how I me Pat aka bigsis as I used to drive her back and forth to work to get her van. >As per my Mom, she had many health problems and for the last year and a half she was confined to a wheel chair as she lost part of her leg due to diabetes etc. but she always had a smile on her face no matter how much pain she was in and always worried about everyone else first. My Dad looked after her for the last year until she was facing loosing the other leg and she was placed in a nursing home for a couple of weeks before she died. It is hard on him as they were married for 58 years so my 2 cats are helping ease some to the pain.
Take care and have a good day.
I met Barb McArthur several years ago, when I was working at the Casino. She was driving the associate shuttle, so we saw each other a lot.She also drove a school bus, worked for the St. Catharines Transit, and was a driver education instructer.
Barb was born and raised in Sault Ste. Marie but has been away from there for 25 years. The Barb I knew and became friends with was very dedicated, a hard worker and gave her all to every thing she attempted.
I just recently found out, her mother passed away in January. When she returned back to her home she was not able to find work in her field so she sent of resumes to "the Soo" and got a job right away so she has moved back there to take care of her father. Many things are changing in Barb McArthur's life. And as you can well imagine there has been a lot of changes in Sault Ste. Marie in the past 25 years. And many things are changing in Barb McArthur's life, there will be a lot for her to get used to. which fits well into this weeks theme of Choices & Changes.
So please join Sharon & I in congratulating this weeks Good Global Citizen Award , Barb MacArthur.
